Target pigmentation, redness, and sun damage to restore a clearer, more even complexion.
What Is IPL?
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is a non-invasive treatment that uses controlled light energy to target pigmentation and vascular irregularities in the skin. Unlike lasers that use a single wavelength of light, IPL delivers multiple wavelengths, allowing it to address a range of concerns, including:
- Sun spots and age spots
- Freckles
- Redness and rosacea
- Broken capillaries
- Uneven skin tone
The light energy is absorbed by pigment or blood vessels in the skin, which then gradually fade as the body naturally processes the treated cells. Because IPL can target multiple chromophores, including melanin and hemoglobin, it is uniquely suited for treating both brown discoloration and redness within the same session. This versatility makes it an effective option for patients experiencing a combination of sun damage and vascular irregularities. Treatment settings are carefully adjusted based on skin tone, pigment depth, and sensitivity. A measured approach ensures that correction occurs gradually while preserving surrounding tissue and maintaining natural skin integrity.
